This past month, Myriade opened up its third store, located right in the heart of downtown. The decor is breathtaking and certainly reflects their motto “we are not a third wave coffee shop, we are happy to serve you”. No, there are no bare light bulbs, and the coffee is not served in glass cups. Instead, there is jazz music playing and the place feels more like a high tea shop than the typical ‘third wave’ coffee shop in Montreal. Not one to succumb to trends, Myriade creates its own niche (and a very successful one at that, considering this is their third shop in around six years) and shows that quality coffee can be enjoyed in different environments- in this case, a classy more upscale feel. Fully stocked with different favourite roasts and local epicerie products, this location is a must-go if you’re in the core downtown area.
